As this is a fully funded scholarship in Canada, it will cover your tuition and fees for the standard duration of the master’s or professional program.
It will provide a living stipend of $2000 per month during your course.
It will also provide you with a one-time relocation for moving to Montreal.

If you are not pursuing your course in the summer, you can apply for this master’s scholarship in Canada of up to $5000 to pursue meaningful summer experiences.

Note: Graduate certificates, executive master’s programs (EMBA, IMHL), PhDs, and joint degree programs are not covered by this full-funded scholarship in Canada. You can apply for this scholarship at the start of your qualifying year for your upcoming master’s degree at McGill.

Mccall Macbain scholarship eligibility

To apply for this fully-funded scholarship in Canada for the 2025 intake, you have to meet ONE of the criteria below:

You are a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree and are expected to get your first degree by August 2025.
You have got your first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2019 or later).
You got your first bachelor’s degree over five years ago and will be 30 or younger in 2024.

Besides the above criteria, you must meet the minimum degree and language requirements for admission to McGill’s Master’s program.

Here are the admission requirements for McGill’s Master’s program:

You must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, as recognised by McGill University.
You must also prove your English language proficiency by taking the TOEFL, IELTS, or McGill Certificate of Proficiency in English or McGill Certificate of Proficiency—English for Professional Communication.

If you meet any of the criteria below, you are not required to submit proof of proficiency in English:

If your mother tongue is English and you speak this language regularly.
You are about to get or got your undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognised institution in Canada or the USA (anglophone or francophone).
You are about to get or got your undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognised foreign institution where English is the language of instruction.+
You have lived and attended the university or been employed for at least four consecutive years in a country where English is the primary language.

How to apply for the McCall MacBain Scholarship?

To apply for this McCall MacBain scholarship program, you have to submit the following documents:

You can apply directly on the McCall MacBain Scholarship website.
At the start of the application, you must enter details about yourself and your family members.
Next, you will mention extracurricular activities, community activities, work history, and any breaks you have taken.
Next, you will submit several short essays of 225-300 words each. You must share your goals, influences, meaningful experiences, and a significant course correction in these essays.
Next, you will upload your academic transcripts, such as your bachelor’s degrees and other required transcripts, in PDF format. This university accepts both official and unofficial transcripts.
Next, you will submit your one-page resume in PDF format with a minimum font size of 10. Please do not include photos.
